Official Salud launch in Spain
Thursday November 15th 2007 saw the official signing of the agreement between Two-Ten Health and Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). The event was attended by numerous high profile guests including Irish ambasador to Spain Mr Peter Gunning. Representing Two-Ten Health were; Founder and Vice Chairman Mr Carl Moynihan, Head of Marketing Dr. Maeve Mc Grath and Salud Project manager Mr. Tuncho Granados. In attendance from UCM was The Rector of the university Carlos Berzosa, Dean of the Dental School Prof Mariano Sanz as well as the department heads and Vice Deans. Mr John Mac Namara of Enterprise Ireland also attended the event representing the Irish government.
The launch in UCM marks the first site to be using the clinical information system Salud through Spanish. After the official signing the attendees enjoyed a tour of the dental clinics where they saw Salud in operation. The press were also invited on this tour. Speaking at the launch Two-Ten Health founder Carl Moynihan said;
"Two-Ten Health is delighted to start working with Universidad Complutense. This is a prestigious international university that is regarded internationally and will contribute significantly to the Salud User Group, members of which also include Trinity College Dublin, University of Oslo and Boston University"
The implementation of Salud within the dental clinics represents a move towards modernizing and improving the efficiency of how the school operates. This was emphasized during the ceremony by the Dean Prof Mariano Sanz;
"When I assumed the position as Dean of the Faculty, I decided to prioritise the modernization of our dental clinics and for this, I needed a tool like Salud that allowed us to improve the dental service for our patients, and at the same time, to evaluate the progress of our students and to gather clinical information for future research".

This years ADEA Sections on Business and Financial Administration and clinical Administration meeting will take place from Oct 10 – 13 in the Rancho Bernardo Inn California. Tuncho Granados, Vice President of Salud Americas is looking forward to meeting you all there. TTH Salud are proud sponsors of the Saturday morning breakfast. Thank you to all the community who stopped by our exhibition stand at the Association for Dental Education in Europe meeting in Dublin Castle on September 4th and 5th, or attended one of the events we ran around this meeting:
- Lunchtime seminar by Professor Paal Baakvoll of Oslu Dental School on using Salud as an electronic dental record and the impact Salud has had on the school
- 25% increase in revenue from patient treatments
- increase in workflow efficiency
- increase of scientific output
- valuable reporting tools that improved evaluation of students' programmes and the School's ability to reach learning targets
